Pulwama,06 Dec:Even after elapsing over four years, a mini-secretariat in Tral town has been awaiting completion as work has been stopped on it due to shortage of funds.
Sources said news agency Fast Kashmir that mini-secretariat was sanctioned in the area in year 2017 with an estimated cost of 7 crore, however due to shortage of funds work is on complete halt.
Locals said that mini-secretariat was sanctioned with an aim to provide all services in Tral and to cut down travel time as district headquarters Pulwama is around 30 Kms from Tral.
They said that even after completion of four years only 30 percent work has been done and work will go with same pace it will take decades to complete this project.
For a small office work, we are forced to visit Pulwama which is wasting our money as well as our time, they said
They requested higher ups to look into the matter and complete the project as an earliest so that locals can heave a sigh of relief.
Deputy General Manager JKPCC Pulwama Er Masood Ahmad said that due to shortage of funds, the work has been put to a halt.
He said that so far we have received only 1 crore from the MLA fund and nothing else due to which we are unable to pay to the contractor.
He said that we have recommend that this project should be kept in languishing projects, however, that hasn’t been done as of nowFK
