Srinagar: As the mainstream political parties eagerly await the results of much hyped DDC Polls, a buzz has gone around the political landscape of J&K that a new political outfit was likely to emerge in coming days, with many suggesting that a stalwart leader from Kashmir polity could lead the new flock. RNA has learnt from reliable sources that many leaders of various political parties across J&K have been huddling from several weeks to float a new political party in coming days.
A senior political leader of a party from South Kashmir told RNA that more than a dozen senior political leaders from North, Central and South Kashmir along with many from the Jammu division were in serious and deep consultations from so many days and were likely to launch a new party which would be most probably led by a political heavyweight from Kashmir. When asked if , he was hinting towards the former PDP Patron and Deputy Chief Minster Muzaffer Hussain Beigh, the leader retorted and said , he ( Mr. Beigh) had nothing to do with it , adding that it would be a “credible surprise.”
” No, he has nothing to do with it. Please wait a few more days and you would come to know .” the leader told wishing not to be identified.
When asked why these leaders felt the need of launching another party when there were already so many parties and a grand alliance as well , another leader who has been part of the consultations said, ” Situations has been so confusing post Aug-05,2019, that nobody is sure what these party heads and leaders are upto. It has become so murky and absurd as well. We fail to understand what they say and what they do, so a new political outfit inwhich many leaders of various parties would join hands has now become inevitable.” he said.
Meanwhile this news wire has learnt that many senior leaders of various political parties including former minsters and legislators may breakaway from their parties to come together and be part of the new party. RNA could however, not confirm from independent sources as and when exactly the launch would take place , but sources maintained that the leaders were waiting for the culmination of the DDC elections and the process may pick momentum after the declaration of results on Tuesday.
