Residents of Sedow and its adjacent areas in south-Kashmir’s Shopian district have decried absence of essentials including electricity and water supply amid ongoing snowfall in the Valley.
In several calls made to GNS, the local residents said that amid the ongoing snowfall, the local populace has got caged indoors even as people are unable to move out for essential works.
The residents, according to them, are running short of ration and other essential commodities including medicines even as there is no availability of electricity or water supply to the area for last two odd days now.
Main road including the interior stretches in the area are blocked as, according to them, no one has approached the area to clear the roads of the accumulated snow.
Urging the district administration to rise up to the occasion, they said that “We hope that the district authorities will consider our plight and make necessary arrangements to mitigate our sufferings amid these testing times.” GNS
