Tally reaches 127,288; death toll at 1968,Active cases around 900 in J&K, recovery rate around 98 percent

Srinagar, Mar 10: The deadly virus of Covid-19 on Wednesday claimed three more lives in Jammu and Kashmir taking the toll of deaths related to Covid-19 to 1,968 while as 97 fresh positive cases were reported taking tally of positive cases to 127,288.
Of the exact number of 127,288 cases, 75,142 are from Kashmir and 52,146 from Jammu division. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 97 new cases, 81 belong to Kashmir division while as 16 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 75,142 including 73,188 recoveries and 1,239 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 52,146 including 51,233 recoveries and 729 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 899 including 715 from Kashmir division and 184 from Jammu division.
With 54 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 124,421 which is 97.76 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 46 from Srinagar, 16 from Baramulla, 06 from Budgam, 01 from Pulwama, 04 from Kupwara, 01 from Anantnag, 00 from Bandipora, 04 from Ganderbal, 02 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 16 from Jammu division include 12 from Jammu, 00 from Udhampur, 00 from Rajouri, 01 from Doda, 01 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 01 from Kishtwar, 01 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
As per officials figures, 27,405 positive cases including 463 deaths and 26,517 recoveries are from Srinagar, 8,359 including 177 deaths and 8,092 recoveries are from Baramulla, 7,946 including 7,773 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Budgam, 5,894 including 5,762 recoveries and 91 deaths are from Pulwama, 5,705 including 97 deaths and 5,593 recoveries are from Kupwara, 5,067 including 4,947 recoveries and 88 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,722 cases including 4,647 and 62 deaths are from Bandipora, 4,684 including 4,619 recoveries and 47 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,745 including 2,677 recoveries and 54 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,615 including 2,561 recoveries and 40 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 25,349 including 24,821 recoveries and 377 deaths are from Jammu district, 4,319 including 4,258 recoveries and 57 deaths are from Udhampur, 3,877 including 3,821 recoveries and 55 deaths are from Rajouri, 3,440 including 3,374 recoveries and 64 deaths are from Doda, 3,269 including 3,207 recoveries and 53 deaths are from Kathua, 2,841 including 2,794 recoveries and 40 deaths are from Samba, 2,739 including 2,716 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Kishtwar, 2,528 including 2,496 recoveries and 24 deaths are from Poonch, 2,135 including 2,114 recoveries and 21 deaths are from Ramban and 1,649 including 1,632 recoveries and 16 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 1,369,145 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 31,821 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 899 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 1,221,438 persons have completed surveillance period and 113,019 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 5,462,245 samples are available.
Out of 5,462,245 the number of samples tested negative stands at 5,334,957 while as 127,288 have tested positive, among them 899 persons are active, 124,421 persons have recovered and 1,968 persons have died—(KNO)
