Creates Panic among Locals, Wildlife Teams Reaches Village
Shopian, Mar 11: A leopard was spotted last evening in the Memander village just a kilometre from the South Kashmir’s Shopian town, causing panic among locals.
According to local sources, the locals immediately informed the wildlife department officials. A team has already reached the village and is searching for the leopard, department sources said.
Last year, a leopard was spotted in the area, during that time the leopard attacked and injured two people, including a wildlife official. (CNS)
