Srinagar, Mar 16: The School Education Department on Monday said that some educational institutions in Kashmir while providing transport facility to the students were not following COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) properly.
The news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) has leant that the School Education Department has issued a circular in this regard and has directed all educational institutions to ensure all SOPs are being followed.
“The schools in Kashmir division have already started functioning after winter vacations and students are attending their classes, and now it has been observed that some schools are not following the recommended COVID-19 SOPs while providing transport facility to the students,” it reads.
The department said the educational institutions shall ensure sanitization of school transport facilities twice every day before boarding and after deboarding of the students.
“Driver and conductor of the transport facility should maintain physical distance at all times and ensure that students are seated keeping physical distancing protocol in view and wherever necessary, school buses or vans should be run in shifts in order to observe physical distancing of at least 6 feet among the children,” reads the circular—(KNO)
