No death reported in last 24 hours, Active cases increase to 1336; recovery rate decreases to 97.42 per cent

Srinagar, Mar 22: The Covid-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir continue to rise as 132 fresh positive cases were reported on Monday pushing the number of active cases near 1,350 which otherwise were less than 600 a few weeks before.
No death was reported in last 24 hours, however, active cases continues to increase and recovery rate decreases with each passing day. 132 fresh positive cases were reported on Monday taking the tally of positive cases to 128,679.
Of the exact number of 128,679 cases, 76,276 are from Kashmir and 52,403 from Jammu division. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 132 new cases, 104 belong to Kashmir division while as 28 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 76,276 including 73,981 recoveries and 1,249 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 52,403 including 51,381 recoveries and 732 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,336 including 1,046 from Kashmir division and 290 from Jammu division.
With 86 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 125,362 which is 97.42 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 77 from Srinagar, 06 from Baramulla, 04 from Budgam, 06 from Pulwama, 01 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 02 from Bandipora, 02 from Ganderbal, 03 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 28 from Jammu division include 25 from Jammu, 01 from Udhampur, 01 from Rajouri, 00 from Doda, 01 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
As per officials figures, 28,117 positive cases including 465 deaths and 26,958 recoveries are from Srinagar, 8,501 including 178 deaths and 8,205 recoveries are from Baramulla, 8,046 including 7,836 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Budgam, 5,933 including 5,804 recoveries and 92 deaths are from Pulwama, 5,736 including 97 deaths and 5,620 recoveries are from Kupwara, 5,111 including 5,002 recoveries and 94 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,736 cases including 4,660 and 62 deaths are from Bandipora, 4,696 including 4,635 recoveries and 47 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,762 including 2,690 recoveries and 54 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,638 including 2,571 recoveries and 40 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 25,546 including 24,936 recoveries and 379 deaths are from Jammu district, 4,332 including 4,263 recoveries and 57 deaths are from Udhampur, 3,884 including 3,823 recoveries and 55 deaths are from Rajouri, 3,449 including 3,376 recoveries and 64 deaths are from Doda, 3,276 including 3,218 recoveries and 53 deaths are from Kathua, 2,846 including 2,800 recoveries and 41 deaths are from Samba, 2,739 including 2,717 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Kishtwar, 2,535 including 2,499 recoveries and 24 deaths are from Poonch, 2,138 including 2,115 recoveries and 21 deaths are from Ramban and 1,658 including 1,634 recoveries and 16 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 1,439,982 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 28,965 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,336 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 1,284,056 persons have completed surveillance period and 123,644 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 5,773,118 samples are available. Out of 5,773,118 the number of samples tested negative stands at 5,644,439 while as 128,679 have tested positive, among them 1,336 persons are active, 125,362 persons have recovered and 1,981 persons have died—(KNO)
