Srinagar, Aug 05: A 24-year old youth from South Kashmir is all set to represent Kashmir in India’s biggest talent TV show “INDIA’S GOT TALENT”.
Raja Aadam (24) a resident of remote Batgund area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district who has completed his B- Tech recently is already showcasing his talent on different platforms known for his skills in mind reading and illusions of seemingly impossible feats.
Raja while talking with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that he was selected by an expert team of the TV show through online auditions.
“Our performances will be shot soon in this month which will be telecasted on Sony TV in October,” he said.
Before reaching to this level, Raja’s talent has been applauded at mega stages as he was runner up in “KASHMIR GOT TALENT”, got all India rank 1 at global youth festival as magician, was awarded as a first Kashmir illusionist, finalist in India Ke Mast Kalender TV show, awarded twice youth icon of Kashmir, guest speaker at international moment to unite nations and winner in Indian youth festival.
Raja said that in 2016 he got selected in the same show, however, due to the prevailing situation in the valley he couldn’t join.
In India ke Mast Kalender show Raja worked with a number of Bollywood faces, however, he ended up as runner up in the show.
“I am very much happy that I will be able to show my talent in leading TV shows and I am hopeful that this time I will come up as a winner,” he said.
“What I perform is purely based on science, hypnotism and tricks, however, very few people in Kashmir know about it,” Raja said.
Raja said that he has faced many challenges as people initially termed this art as unislamic.
“After that I studied the religion comprehensively to understand the differences between lawful and the prohibited aspects of magic,” he said.
“My aim is to perform on the international stage and show my talent,” Raja added—(KNO)
