Baramulla, Mar 07: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two TRF militant associates along with ammunition from Tangmarg village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. The case under the Arms and UA(P) Act has also been registered.

A police spokesperson told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that during the cordon and search operation (CASO) at Monchkhud Kunzer village of Tangmarg in Baramulla, two suspects were arrested who during interrogation revealed that they are working for Lashkar offshoot TRF.

“Two AK 47 Magazines, 15 AK 47 rounds were recovered from their possession, besides 20 blank posters of TRF were also seized”, he said.

The official identified the arrested overground workers (OGW’s) as Khurshid Ahmad Khan son of Mushtaq Ahmad Khan and Reyaz Ahmad Khan son of Ghulam Mohi ud Din Khan – both the residents of Zandpal area of Kunzer.

“The arrestees had obtained the ammunition in a bid to carry out the attacks in Tangmarg areas”, officials added.

Meanwhile, a case under sections of Arms and UA (P) Act stands registered in Police station Kunzer, while further investigation has been set into the motion—(KNO)
