KULGAM,AUGUST,13:The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Showkat Ahmad Rather hoisted the National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents of J&K Police, CRPF, Women Police, Home Guard, Police band, students from schools and other contingents at District Police Lines (DPL), here.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC highlighted the developmental scenario of the district and achievements recorded under various schemes and sectors in the district.
He added that during the year 2022-23, 2300 works were completed with an expenditure of 62 crore, and 2421 works will get completed under District Capex in the ongoing financial year with an estimated cost of 64 crore.
He also added that under Jal Jeevan Mission 143 Water Supply Schemes will come up with an expenditure of 465 crore and 09 schemes stands completed.
The ADDC added that to promote literature, Art and culture, the District Administration successfully organized the first ever Veshow Literary festival.
Cultural programmes were also presented on the occasion by the students and artists.
ADC, Vikar Ahmad Giri, ACR, Addl. SP and other officers from civil and police administration besides locals, students and employees participated in the function.
