Republic Day-2024: DC Kulgam finalises celebration arrangements

Kulgam, January 18: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today reviewed and finalised the arrangements for the celebrations of Republic Day function 2024 during a meeting of officers held at the mini-secretariat, here.

The DC on the occasion instructed the officers to put in place impactful and adequate arrangements for smooth conduct of this National function.

The meeting held threadbare discussions on finalisation of arrangements to be put in place at the venue including security, seating, car parking, transportation and illumination of buildings, PAS, Cultural programmes, March past, power, water, heating, snow clearance, sanitation etc.

The concerned departments were instructed to make heating arrangements keeping in view the prevailing cold weather conditions, for trouble-free rehearsals and final day celebration.

The DC directed the concerned officers and agencies to maintain close coordination while making arrangements for the national function.

Besides the main function at District level, sub-divisional, tehsil and village levels celebrations shall also be held across the district. The DC also called upon all to take due care in celebrations and honour the National Flag and National Anthem as per protocol.

The DC also instructed the concerned to arrange relevant cultural programmes and also to illuminate the town on the occasion.

All the heads of the departments and institutions were also directed to unfurl the National Flag within their offices and institutions.

ADC, Vikar Ahmad Giri, JDP, SDM Noorabad, ASP, ACD, ACP, Executive Engineers of PDD, R&B, A-SP, DIO, CEO, CMO, Officers from Army, CRPF and others attended the meeting.
