Srinagar, Oct, 22: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha revealed that two foreign militants, suspected to have infiltrated from the Bandipora region of north Kashmir, were responsible for a deadly attack in Ganderbal. The incident, which took place on Sunday at a tunnel-construction site on the Srinagar-Leh highway, resulted in the deaths of seven individuals, including a doctor and six laborers.
The attack occurred when the workers had returned to their camp in the evening. According to initial investigations, the attackers, wearing masks, entered the mess hall of the construction company and opened fire indiscriminately, killing seven and injuring four others. Security forces have been directed to pursue the militants and bring them to justice, Sinha added.
