Srinagar, Oct 30: Iqra Farooq Bhat from Zakura, Srinagar, achieved rank 2 in the Jammu and Kashmir Combined Competitive Examination, becoming the top candidate from the Kashmir Valley.
She has been preparing for the exam since 2021. Following the announcement of the results on Wednesday, visitors flocked to her home to congratulate her and her family.
Bhat, who comes from a tailoring family, expressed gratitude to God and her family for their support. “I am thankful to my parents, my brother, my relatives, and everyone who prayed for me. I am thrilled that my hard work has paid off,” she said.
Reflecting on her journey, she acknowledged the struggles she faced but emphasized her gratitude for her success. She stated, “I have always wanted to be in a position to help others. My journey has been challenging, but I remained focused on my goal.”
Bhat encouraged future aspirants, advising them to maintain hope and study consistently, regardless of setbacks. “Even if they don’t qualify the first time, they can keep working hard,” she added.
