Kulgam, December 28: In a bid to ensure seamless traffic movement and public safety during ongoing incessant snowfall and slippery roads, Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Dr Syed Fakhruddin Hamid and Senior Superintendent of Police Kulgam shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS with all jurisdictional officers conducted a whole night vigilance at Navayuga Tunnel and other essential roads.
The DC Anantnag and SSP Kulgam spent the entire night at the Navayuga tunnel, monitored the arrangements of public safety and vehicular movement. They assessed the traffic management systems, reviewed the deployment of personnel, and inspected the infrastructure put in place.
During whole night, they interacted with commuters, listened to their feedback, and addressed their concerns at Navayuga Tunnel. The officers also reviewed the emergency response plans and ensured that all necessary measures were in place to handle any situation.
The officers identify the areas for improvement and implement measures to enhance public convenience, safety, and traffic flow.
