Kulgam, December 28, 2024: The Municipal Council of Kulgam is on high alert and working around the clock to clear all major and link roads following a heavy snowfall that has affected the region.

Sanitary Supervisor MC Kulgam, Mubarak Ahmad, stated that under the direct instructions of Zahid Sajad, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kulgam, Municipal Council employees have been deployed across key areas to address the snow accumulation and mitigate its impact.

To ensure the safety and smooth movement of vehicles, council employees are actively spreading salt on snow-covered roads to prevent slipping hazards. This initiative is aimed at reducing the risks of accidents and ensuring that vehicular traffic can continue during the severe winter conditions.

The Municipal Council is committed to restoring normalcy and prioritizing the safety of the public amidst these challenging weather conditions. Efforts are ongoing to clear all snow-covered roads and link roads as quickly as possible to ease travel and improve transportation in the area.
