Kulgam: The Cyber Cell of Kulgam Police has successfully resolved multiple cases of online financial fraud, recovering a total of ₹13,69,377 from scammers. The victims had fallen prey to fraudulent investment schemes promising high returns in exchange for additional deposits.
Upon receiving several complaints, the Cyber Police Kulgam team promptly initiated investigations, gathering crucial evidence and information from the victims. With the help of advanced cyber tools and techniques, the team traced and froze the fraudulent transactions. The full recovered amount, ₹13,69,377, was successfully returned to the victims.
Local residents have praised the tireless efforts and teamwork of the Cyber Police in Kulgam, expressing their gratitude for the swift resolution of the cases. The authorities have issued a reminder to the public to stay vigilant against online scams, especially fake trading platforms and phishing attempts.
The Kulgam Police also advised the public to avoid clicking on suspicious links, refrain from responding to unsolicited SMS messages, and be wary of unknown video calls.
