Kulgam, Mar 22: In line with the action plan formulated by the Jammu & Kashmir Legal Services Authority, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kulgam observed World Water Day on March 22, 2025. The event was organized in collaboration with Government Middle School Chatabal Kulgam, under the esteemed guidance of Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Worthy Chairman DLSA Kulgam, and under the supervision of Ms. Mehreen Mushtaq, Secretary DLSA Kulgam.
To mark the occasion, a cleaning drive was carried out at Nalla Vishaw Kulgam. The DLSA team, including Para-Legal Volunteers (PLVs), along with the staff members and students of Government Middle School Chaitbal, participated in the initiative to promote the importance of cleanliness and the preservation of water bodies.
Additionally, DLSA Kulgam organized an awareness program at Government Middle School Awhatooo. The program, which was attended by DLSA staff, PLVs, school staff, and students, aimed to educate the participants about the significance of World Water Day. During the event, students were informed about the importance of water conservation and the global efforts to ensure sustainable water management.
The observance of World Water Day by DLSA Kulgam emphasized the collective responsibility of safeguarding water resources and fostering a deeper understanding of water conservation among the community, especially the younger generation.
