Kupwara: 26 March:In a significant step towards ensuring accessible healthcare for grassroots communities, Parwana Cluster Level Federation, under the aegis of the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) Kupwara, successfully organized a Free Medical Camp today in collaboration with the Health Department. The camp was specially designed to cater to the health and well-being of Self-Help Group (SHG) members, acknowledging their invaluable contribution to society.

The medical camp witnessed an overwhelming response, with a large number of SHG members availing themselves of free healthcare consultations, diagnostic services, and essential medicines. A team of expert doctors, paramedics, and health professionals provided general health check-ups, screenings for common ailments, and awareness sessions on preventive healthcare. Special focus was given to women’s health, nutrition, and chronic disease management.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives from Parwana Cluster Level Federation expressed their commitment to empowering SHG members not just economically but also in terms of health and well-being. They emphasized that good health is a prerequisite for sustainable livelihoods and economic self-reliance. Officials from the Health Department lauded this collaborative initiative, highlighting its importance in bridging healthcare gaps in rural areas.

Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the medical camp, appreciating the efforts of NRLM Kupwara and the Health Department in bringing essential healthcare services to their doorstep. Many attendees called for such initiatives to be conducted regularly to address ongoing health concerns.

Parwana Cluster Level Federation reaffirmed its dedication to holistic development and assured that similar programs will be organized in the future to support the well-being of SHG members and the larger community.
