Kupwara: 26 March:In a significant step towards ensuring accessible healthcare for grassroots communities, Parwana Cluster Level Federation, under the aegis of the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) Kupwara, successfully organized a Free Medical Camp today in collaboration with the Health Department. The camp was specially designed to cater to the health and well-being of Self-Help Group (SHG) members, acknowledging their invaluable contribution to society.
The medical camp witnessed an overwhelming response, with a large number of SHG members availing themselves of free healthcare consultations, diagnostic services, and essential medicines. A team of expert doctors, paramedics, and health professionals provided general health check-ups, screenings for common ailments, and awareness sessions on preventive healthcare. Special focus was given to women’s health, nutrition, and chronic disease management.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives from Parwana Cluster Level Federation expressed their commitment to empowering SHG members not just economically but also in terms of health and well-being. They emphasized that good health is a prerequisite for sustainable livelihoods and economic self-reliance.
