Srinagar, July 02: The scorching heatwave has taken a toll on the women of Kralpora village in Qaziabad Kralgund,who have been grappling with a severe water shortage for the past 10 days. In view of this, protests are increasing across the state.
The protesting residents said that they were facing tremendous hardships due to the non-availability of water from past several months. “We are being deprived of drinking water from last several months.
As many as 50 women took to the streets on Wednesday with empty buckets and utensils to demonstrate against the severe crisis of drinking water.
