Budgam, Sept 25: The Caring People Welfare Foundation (CPWF), led by its dedicated chairman Muzamil Ahmad, has emerged as one of the most trusted social organizations in Kashmir, extending critical support to poor and marginalized families across the valley. In just the past nine months, the Foundation has successfully executed a diverse range of welfare programs that have directly benefitted hundreds of orphan girls, unemployed women, and patients in need of healthcare.
Marriage expenses often become a heavy burden for poor families, particularly for orphan girls with no financial backing. Addressing this challenge, the Foundation distributed 180 mass marriage kits among orphan girls and those from economically weaker households. Each kit provided essential items required for solemnizing weddings with dignity, reducing the stress and financial strain on families.
This initiative was widely appreciated by locals who hailed it as a noble step towards social empowerment and community solidarity. Beneficiaries and their families expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Foundation, emphasizing that such support allows them to fulfill important social obligations without falling into debt.
Healthcare at the Doorstep
Recognizing the lack of accessible healthcare in remote areas of Kashmir, the Foundation organized 30 free medical camps across the valley. These camps offered free consultations, medicines, and basic health check-ups, benefitting a wide spectrum of patients, especially those in villages with limited medical infrastructure.
Patients attending these camps described them as a blessing, particularly in times when rising medical costs pose a serious challenge for poor families. Locals stressed that initiatives like these are crucial for improving public health in rural Kashmir.
Empowering Women Through Vocational Support In addition to healthcare and social support, the Foundation has placed a strong emphasis on women’s empowerment and self-reliance. To tackle the issue of rising female unemployment, CPWF distributed 400 tailoring machines among unemployed women and young girls.
This initiative not only equips women with a practical skill but also provides them with a sustainable source of livelihood. By becoming financially independent, these women can contribute to their family income and improve their living conditions. Locals praised the program as a life-changing step for many households struggling with poverty.
Commitment to Humanitarian Service
Speaking to the media, Chairman Muzamil Ahmad reiterated the Foundation’s commitment to humanitarian service. “Our mission is to serve humanity with sincerity and provide practical solutions to the problems faced by the weaker sections of society. These initiatives are not just about charity, but about creating long-term empowerment and dignity for our people,” he said.
Ahmad further added that such efforts are only possible because of the trust and cooperation extended by the local communities. He urged more individuals and organizations to come forward and join hands in addressing the pressing social issues of Kashmir.
Community Appreciation
Locals across Budgam and the broader Kashmir Valley have lauded Muzamil Ahmad’s tireless efforts, describing him as a sincere public servant committed to the upliftment of marginalized families. The Caring People Welfare Foundation’s initiatives have created a ripple effect, inspiring others to think about social welfare and collective responsibility.
The Foundation’s consistent work—from mass marriage support to health and vocational initiatives—has positioned it as a beacon of hope for countless families who struggle silently. The visible change on the ground is testimony to the impact of coordinated social action.
With every step, the Caring People Welfare Foundation is helping to weave a stronger safety net for the poor and underprivileged in Kashmir. Whether through healthcare, livelihood support, or assistance in life’s most important milestones, the Foundation continues to embody compassion in action.
As the valley faces multiple socio-economic challenges, organizations like CPWF serve as a reminder that community-driven initiatives can create sustainable change. The work of Muzamil Ahmad and his team stands as both an inspiration and an invitation for others to contribute towards building a more inclusive and caring society.
