Gunshot Incident at Kathua Railway Station Leaves RPF Personnel Injured

Kathua, Jan 04: An RPF (Railway Protection Force) personnel was injured after sustaining a gunshot wound at Kathua Railway Station on Sunday, police said.

A senior police officer confirmed to news agency Kashmir News Corner, that the injured personnel was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. His condition is stated to be stable.

Meanwhile, police and railway authorities have taken cognizance of the incident.

The area was secured soon after the incident, and an investigation has been launched to ascertain the circumstances leading to the firing.—(KNC)
