Strategically located on the Gulmarg–Magam Road, along the prominent Gulmarg tourist route, the “Tabeer-e-Khawab” Library has been established keeping in view the growing educational needs of students from Magam and adjoining areas. The centre offers a calm, disciplined, and well-organized environment for students preparing for academic and competitive examinations.
While interacting with media persons, Yawar Abbas Reshi said that although the region has many talented and hardworking students, the lack of proper and disturbance-free study spaces often affects their preparation and performance.
“Every year, a large number of students appear for various examinations, but the absence of a suitable study environment becomes a major hurdle. The purpose of establishing this library is to bridge that gap and provide students with all necessary facilities under one roof,” he said.
The “Tabeer-e-Khawab” Library-cum-Study Centre has the capacity to accommodate more than 100 students at a time. It is equipped with modern facilities including proper lighting, comfortable seating, high-speed internet, charging points, air conditioning, and extended working hours. Special arrangements have also been made for students preparing for competitive examinations such as NEET, JEE, JKSSB, and UPSC, with access to relevant study material and a disciplined academic atmosphere. The centre has also gained appreciation from students who prefer moving away from excessive digital exposure and engaging in focused reading using physical books.
