Kupwara:A comprehensive Student Doubt Clearance and Career Guidance Session, with special focus on NEET and other national-level competitive examinations, was successfully held at Noor-e-Marifat Library, Potushai Lolab, drawing enthusiastic participation from students and educators and the idea of such a program was conceived by Syed Ab Hamid Andrabi, A Retired Principal from B. Ed College kupwara who served there for 13yrs.

The programme witnessed the presence of renowned academicians and senior civil service officers, who shared valuable insights aimed at guiding aspirants towards academic excellence and competitive success. Ashraf Lolabi, JKAS, and Mohammad Shafi Wani, JKAS, graced the occasion as Chief Guests, while Syed Zahoor Ul Haq, a distinguished senior academician and other dignitaries from the Education Department were also present.

 

The session commenced with Tilawat-e-Quran Pak recited by Syed Ahmad Raza, followed by Naat-e-Paak presented by Syed Sehrish Andrabi. A thoughtful Dars-e-Quran on the relevance of knowledge and learning was delivered by Suhail Ahmad Banday, setting an inspiring tone for the programme. The event was smoothly hosted by Syed Tahir Qayoom.

 

While addressing the students, senior JKAS officers elaborated on effective preparation strategies, time management, and the importance of consistency for cracking competitive examinations. Mohammad Shafi Wani, JKAS, highlighted the do’s and don’ts of exam preparation and emphasized the crucial role of libraries in nurturing disciplined study habits and focused learning.

 

In his motivational address, Ashraf Lolabi, JKAS, began with the opening verses of Surah Al-Alaq, underlining the significance of knowledge and reading. He further enriched his lecture by drawing an analogy from Plato’s Allegory of the Cave, explaining the contrast between illusion and reality, and encouraging students to seek true knowledge through education and critical thinking. He stressed that libraries serve as gateways from ignorance to enlightenment.

Senior academician Syed Zahoor Ul Haq, while presenting the vote of thanks, urged students to pursue their goals with clarity, dedication, discipline, and consistency. He noted that society’s progress depends on the emergence of well-qualified, competent, and ethical officers, which is only possible through sustained hard work and commitment to education.

Syed Ab Hamid Andrabi, who presided over the function, drew a thoughtful analogy between human life and the various developing phases of the moon. While elaborating on the scope and purpose of life, he highlighted how each phase carries its own challenges and lessons. He emphasized that by following the prophetic guidelines and embracing the message of the Prophet (PBUH), one can lead a disciplined, meaningful, and truly successful life.

 

During the programme, appreciation certificates were distributed among meritorious students who secured outstanding marks in the recent 10th and 12th board examinations. The gesture served as a strong morale booster, recognising academic excellence and hard work while motivating other students to strive for higher achievements. Speakers on the occasion lauded the achievers for their dedication and perseverance, describing their success as a source of inspiration for the entire Lolab region. The felicitation ceremony added a celebratory note to the event, reinforcing the message that consistent effort, discipline, and commitment to learning are duly acknowledged and rewarded.

 

The programme concluded with the Chief Librarian and library staff expressing gratitude to all guests, speakers, and students for their active participation, reaffirming the library’s commitment to continue organizing such meaningful
