Bandipora, Jan 22: In view of a weather advisory forecasting widespread rainfall and snowfall, the District Hospital Bandipora has ordered all medical and paramedical staff to remain stationed at their respective places of posting to ensure uninterrupted health services.
According to an order issued by the Medical Superintendent, the directive follows Weather Advisory No. WS 01 dated January 19, 2026, issued by the India Meteorological Department, which warns of possible disruption of surface transport, landslides, and other exigencies.
The order states that all consultants and specialists shall also remain available for duties and emergencies as and when required. Leave, station leave, or movement outside headquarters has been prohibited during the period, except with prior written permission from the competent authority in exceptional circumstances.
Section heads and in charges have been directed to ensure proper duty rosters, round the clock availability of essential services, and timely reporting of any emergency situation.
The order has been issued in accordance with the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Rules, the Disaster Management Act 2005, and other relevant government instructions. Any deviation or non compliance will invite disciplinary action under the applicable rules. The directive will remain in force until further orders.
