SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 07: In view of last day of second phase of B2V3 program, District Development Commissioner Shopian, Chaudhary Mohammad Yasin accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Education Officer Shopian, Tehsildar Shopian, Executive Engineer PMGSY, AD Food and BDO Shopian today visited Check Saidapora Shopian and inaugurated Government Upper Primary school Check Saidapora Payeen, four roomed DS building under district capex in presence of Chief Education Officer Shopian and Zonal Education Officer Vehil Shopian executed by Engineering wing School Education Department. He also inaugurated Saidapora To Sedow 5.50Km road under PMGSY scheme coming up at an estimated cost of 492.00 lacs, facilitating the villagers of Saidapora, Sedow and Checki Aharbal. He took stock of status of works regarding providing of good governance to the public at their doorsteps.
While visiting Panchayat Halqa Check saidapora, the people apprised the DDC about various issues and sought his intervention for resolving the same. He said the main objective of B2V3 program is to take appraisal of local issues for accurate and on spot assessment and redressal of the same. While interacting with the people of these villages, the locals put forth their demands and issues which include protection bund, playground, fresh drinking water facility and power supply. The DDC listened to their grievances patiently and assured for redressal of the same.
The DDC urged the masses to participate in the program with enthusiasm as the main purpose of this programme is to collect feedback on delivery of government programmes, undertaking assessment of needs of the villages and implementation of beneficiary oriented schemes at grass root level.

On the occasion DDC distributed sports kits among the cricket players of these villages. While interacting with the players, the DDC highlighted the initiatives taken by the District Administration to give flip to sports in the district.
