Covid-19 Claims 6 More Lives, Toll 1521
Jammu and Kashmir reported six more covid-19 deaths in last 24 hours, taking the total count to 1521, officials said on Thursday.
Among those who succumbed to the virus include four from Kashmir Valley and two from Jammu division, they said.
Those who succumbed to the virus in the Valley include three persons from Srinagar and one from Ganderbal, they said.
Among others, the victims from Srinagar include an 80-year-old man from Lal Bazar Srinagar who died at SKIMS Soura, three days after he was admitted to the tertiary care hospital, they said.
Also, they said, a 60-year-old woman from Ganderbal died at SKIMS, a week after she was admitted to the hospital.
The two deaths reported from Jammu include one each from the J&K’s winter capital and Ramban with latter one being a Sunjwan Jammu
With these deaths, the fatality count has reached 1520 in J&K—1008 in Valley and 512 in the Jammu region.
Srinagar district with 370 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (265), Baramulla (147), Budgam (94), Pulwama (83), Kupwara (73), Anantnag (76), Rajouri (48), Kulgam (48), Bandipora(47), Doda (48), Shopian (35), Ganderbal (35), Udhampur (32), Kathua (32), Samba (25), Poonch (23), Kishtwar(15), Ramban (17), and Reasi (8).
