One day artisan awareness camp was organised at Achabal by the Handicrafts and Handloom department Kashmir at Achabal Anantnag.
On this occasion Assistant Director Handicrafts and Handloom department encouraged the artisans to avail the facilities that are available for them.
The aim of camp was to generate awareness among local artisans and general public about the scope of Handicrafts Sector.
Assistant Director Handicrafts, encouraged the people to enroll in craft training programmes of the department, which will in turn generate employment opportunities for them. He said people can set up cooperative societies after learning the crafts and reap the benefits of the schemes of the Government.
The Assistant director encouraged the people to learn the skills, and make it a source of livelihood.
