Sopore, Jan 18: Locals on Monday held a massive protest against Power Development Department (PDD) at Tarzoo Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district against erratic power supply and blocked Sopore-Hygam road.
Eyewitnesses told Inside Kashmir, Residents assembled on road at main chowk Tarzoo area of Sopore and held a massive protest demonstration against PDD for erratic power supply.
The protests resulted in traffic jam for hours at Sopore-Hygam road.
The locals while protesting shouted slogans against the PDD department for erratic power supply since more than two months.
They added, department has hiked fee without providing regular power supply.
They have appealed to the concerned department to look into the matter.
Meanwhile police party of Tarzoo police reached to the spot and pacified the protesters that issue will be taken to the concerned department.
