Srinagar : Sopore police on Thursday evening arrested two drug peddlers in Dangiwacha jurisdiction of Sopore and recovered banned drug from their possession.
Sources told news agency KDC that during a Naka checking of PS Dangiwacha, a bicycle bearing number JK05E 0817 was stopped and during search banned drug was recovered from their possession.
Sources identified them as Faisal Aijaz Son of Aijaz Ahmad Rather, Ishfaq Ahmad Yatoo Son of Ghulam Hassan both residents of Chijhama Rafiabad.
In this connection police have register a case under FIR number 15/2021 u/s 2228 of NDPS and have set the further investigation into motion, sources added.
The Sopore police under the supervision of SSP Sopore Javid Ahmad have launched a special drive against drug menace and several persons had been already arrested in this connection.
