Awantipora 17 Feb 2021:Acting on specific information of militant movement, Awantipora Police along with 42 RR and 180 BN CRPF launched search operation in village Batagund and Dadsara Tral. During search operation one militant module of three associates of proscribed outfit Hizb-ul–Mujahideen was arrested. The arrested militant associates are involved in providing shelter, logistics and transportation of arms/ ammunition to the HM militant in Tral and Awantipora area.
During on spot questioning of the arrested militant associates,following IED materialwas recovered from the house one of the arrested militant associate at village Dadsara.

3) Pressure Switches/Relay Mechanism Switches = 03
4) Improvised Switch = 01
5) Anti Mine Wireless Antenna = 01
The arrested militant associates have beenidentified as :1) Shafat Ahmad Sofi S/o Muzaffar Ahmad Sofi R/o Batagund
2) Majid Mohammad Bhat S/o Lt. Gh. Mohammad Bhat R/o Dadsara
3) Umer Rashid Wani S/o Ab. Rashid Wani R/o Dadsara.
Case FIR number09/2021stands registered against the arrested terror associates in Police Station Tral under relevant sections of law.
