Sopore, 07 March : As Domestic Violence cases are rising day by day, A Non Governmental Organization (NGO) Mooj Kasheer Welfare Trust holds an event on ‘Domestic Violence’ on Sunday in north Kashmir’s Sopore town of Baramulla district.
The event was held at ‘Mann te Salva’ restaurant in the town with an aim to aware the masses about the rising Domestic Violence in Kashmir valley and how to tackle it.
‘Stop Domestic Violence’ event was held just to outreach the people and aware them about the rising cases and means to tackle it, said Vice Chairman (MKWT) Uvais Bashir.
We want the people who go through this to speak about their rights and raise their concerns with administration or concerned department so that it could be stopped by and large, he added.
Domestic Violence is totally a breach of Human Rights and can have a serious impact on mental health and we must come forward to stop it, said Insha Khan, a member of (MKWT).
The chief guests on the occasion were Adv Faheem Mehraj, Mir Muneeb and Ubaid Malik besides various Civil and Media dignitaries were present.
