Kulgam, Oct, 31: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) M Y Tarigami convened an introductory cum review meeting with district and sectoral officers today at the Conference Hall of the mini-secretariat in Kulgam. The meeting was attended by District Development Council (DDC) Chairperson Mohammad Afzal Parray and District Development Commissioner (DDC) Athar Amir Khan.
During the meeting, Tarigami assessed a range of developmental issues, focusing on rural development, water supply, health services, industrial initiatives, educational advancements, irrigation networks, horticulture, and agriculture schemes. He underscored the importance of public welfare measures and called for detailed reports on ongoing projects and departmental requirements.
The MLA emphasized the need for meticulous planning in projecting developmental demands, urging officers to consider local feedback. He highlighted that efficient public service delivery should be a top priority and encouraged maximizing the district’s agricultural, industrial, and tourism potential.
DDC Khan provided insights into the district’s profile, outlining vital projects in progress and governance initiatives aimed at enhancing public services. The meeting also saw participation from various district and sectoral officers, including the ACR, ACP, and CPO.
