Bandipora, Mar 22: After fresh snowfall, the Bandipora-Gurez road has been again closed for traffic, officials said on Monday.
Kupwara-Karna road has also been closed for traffic after fresh snowfall.
Official sources told KNT that the snowfall started Sunday evening as predicted by the weatherman and it has carpeted the Gurez valley. The light snowfall was witnessed in other hilly areas of this north Kashmir district too as the weather remains inclement in the plains.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Gurez confirmed that the Bandipora-Gurez road has been closed due to snowfall.The Gurez Valley plains have received at least three inches of snowfall, officials said.
The officials said that due to fresh snowfall Kupwara-Karna road has also been closed for traffic.
Meanwhile, Anantnag- Kishtwar road continues to remain closed. (KNT)
