Akhnoor, June 7: An army soldier died on spot when his foot slipped and his gun went off receiving bullet in his forehead in Akhnoor Sector of Jammu.
Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that the foot of a soldier who was part of a patrolling team slipped and he received gunshot wounds in his forehead and died instantly.
The slain soldier has been identified as Head Constable Patil Dashrath, a resident of Sangli Maharashtra.
The incident occurred along LoC in Nathu Tiba area of Jogwan in Tehsil Khour of Akhnoor Jammu. (KNT)
