Bijbehara, Jul 03: The doctors at sub-district hospital Bijbehara are sending patients to their designated clinics and laboratories for medicine and tests to get their commission.

A video has gone viral on social media in which a Facebook user namely Dar Masood alleges that doctors at SDH Bijbehara are calling their designated clinics and laboratories once they diagnose any patient for medicine or tests to get the commission.

Dar Masood, who claims to be a diploma holder of 1993, said that doctors are playing with their livelihood as they aren’t allowing any patient to visit their laboratory.

He appealed to higher-ups to look into the matter and take action in this regard.

“Isn’t there anyone who will take action against them and if there is anyone then we will take up the issue with higher authorities,” he said.

Meanwhile, officials said they have taken up cognizance of the issue and constituted the committee to look into the matter.

A letter of Medical Superintendent at SDH Bijbehara to Deputy Commissioner Anantnag in this regard reads, “With due respect and regards, it has come to the notice of undersigned by a Viral video on social media uploaded by the Facebook Account of Dar Masood. As such the grievance cell constituted will examine the facts of the video and the report will be submitted to your office within 24 hours for further necessary action,”.

“The committee will hear the Grievances/allegations in person on Monday and as such Dar Masood is also informed to present himself with evidence before the grievance cell,” It said—(KNO)
