Kulgam Police comes to the rescue of 430 civilians stranded in encounter area at Aharbal

Kulgam : July 26, 2021: Today district Police Kulgam evacuated 430 civilians who got stranded at the popular tourist destination Aharbal. Their movement was halted for their own safety after exchange of firing between militants and security forces started today afternoon. Towards the evening, the civilians were safely taken to an evacuation point under the armed protection of policemen and 40 (fourty) vehicles were arranged for by SHO Manzgam Insp Imtiaz and SHO DH Pora Insp Tanveer for their transportation. In the evacuation operation supervised by AdSP Kulgam Sh Zulafqar, all the persons were evacuated and conveyed safely to their destinations.

The stranded civilians and their family members thanked Kulgam Police for assistance at a crucial juncture.
