Srinagar, Aug 01: Unknown gunmen fired a few shots on a gate of a political activist in Padshahi Bagh area of Kashmir capital Srinagar.
Reliable sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that unknown gunmen fired upon the main gate of a political activist identified as Mohammad Umar son of Mohammad Shafi, a resident of Padshahi Bagh. He was present in his house at the time of the incident.
They said that Umar accordingly informed police and accordingly forces have rushed to his residence and further investigation has been set into motion.
Umar is said to be affiliated with the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM).
