Kupwara Terriers, Indian Army organises free veterinary camp at Manwan Bala, Awoora, Kupwara

Kupwara, August 10: Kupwara Terriers, Indian Army organised a free veterinary camp at the remote village Manwan Bala, Awoora in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district to help local villagers living in this remote area.

Veterinarians from the Army , with assistance from local veterinarians, treated 180+ domestic animals.

In farther areas where there are many cattle, sheep, and other forms of livestock, veterinary services are not available and it’s difficult to reach them.

Representative of the Army said “The local residents were informed beforehand about the veterinary camp and that they would receive free treatment and medicines for

“The army has organised this camp very well. They ensured that many medicines were made available and also ensured that the residents and farmers were made aware of the diseases that may happen during this season,” the veterinary surgeon on site further added.

Locals said that the camp has been extremely beneficial and the Indian Army has helped a lot.

“The animals are being treated well. The Indian Army are providing medicines for the animals for free.

These camps must be organised at least once or twice in the season. We are very thankful to them,” he said.
