ANANTNAG, AUGUST 12: A 100 bedded girls hostel was jointly inaugurated by District Development Commissioner, Anantnag Dr. Piyush Singla and Member District Development Council Achabal, Sameena Hussain at Bona Tooru Achabal, here. The hostel has been constructed under RAMSA and will benefit girl students of the area.
On the occasion, the DDC said that the administration is taking various concrete measures to boost the basic infrastructure of the district in important sectors like education, healthcare, rural connectivity etc. He said the active participation of the PRIs in developmental activities is making sure the assets are created as per local need and demand.
Dr. Singla stressed upon the officers to work in coordination with PRIs for better development of the district. The building was handed over to education department and directions were issued to the officials to prepare action plan for its timely and efficient utilisation.
District Education Planning Officer, Mohammad Yousuf Jan, AEE R & B, Mehraj Din Bhat and other officials besides local PRI members were present on the occasion.
