Srinagar, Aug 18: A BJP sarpanch has been arrested with a pistol by police in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, official sources said.
They said BJP Sarpanch namely Aqib Shafi Badar son of Mohd Shafi resident of Quimoh Kulgam was arrested along with the pistol from his residence in Quimoh area of the district.
A police officer told GNS that further investigations have been initiated in this regard.
“He is presently being interrogated,” the officer said. (GNS)
