A 52-year-old man was mauled to death by a Wild bear in Soaf Shali in Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday.
Locals said that the man identified as Abdul Rasheed Bhat son Mohd Sultan Bhat was attacked in Palbuth while he was going for grazing cattles and grievously injured by a Wild bear in his native village of Soafshali Kokernag.
Soon the locals rushed towards the spot after heard crowd of people but found Rasheed Dead here.
Locals have also told that at least 3 wild bears were roaming in area and tried to enter nearby houses that poses threat among residents of bhat Mohallah Soaf.
Soon after Wildlife department incharge irshad ahmad along his team reached on spot and assure people we will take steps and will capture wild bear soon.
