Indian Army Organized Free Medical camp at Satkoji Jaba

Handwara, Oct 07: A Medical camp was organized by Army and Civ Administration in Satkoji, Jaba as a unique gesture to alleviate hardships of local populace from remote areas. Indian Army and Civil administration came together with shared resources to conduct a medical camp for local people.

The camp was organized at Govt Middle School, Satkoji wherein 04 Medical Officers and 01 Dental Officer from Army , 01 Gynaecologist, 01 Eye Specialist and 01 Medical Specialist from Civil Health Department worked tirelessly on 07 Oct 2021 to provide medical support to 602 patients including 309 males, 208 females and 85 children. Besides routine medical checkup, special emphasis was laid on screening people in vulnerable age groups for life style diseases.

Specialist advise and awareness drive on COVID, AIDS, Family planning and immunisation was also imparted. Community leaders expressed their satisfaction and happiness over the initiative taken by Indain Army and Civil Administration.
