Kupwara (19 Oct 21): As part of its outreach initiatives and to foster the Army-Awam relations, Kupwara Terriers distributed clothing items among 76 children of Tak Zainagiri Memorial Hostel for boys, Sulkoot and Basera Tabassum Girl Orphanage, Sulkoot Kupwara.
Col Swaraj Bhattacharya, Commanding Officer Kupwara Terriers visited the orphanages along with other army personnel, handed clothing items and interacted with the children. Col Bhattacharya wished the children on the occasion of Eid milad-un-nabi and spoke to them about their experiences, challenges and requirements.
The children enjoyed the tea and snacks arranged after the ceremony. They were delighted to meet and interact with the army personnel.
Kupwara Terriers, Indian Army is committed towards empowering and engaging the youth and is always in the forefront of conducting such initiatives to reach out to the local population.
