Gurez-Bandipora road to remain closed till further orders

Bandipora, Dec 13: Authorities in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district have informed that the traffic movement on Bandipora-Gurez and Dawar-Tulail road will remain suspended from tomorrow till further orders in the wake of fresh weather advisory.

The road to Gurez that passes through the Razdan Pass has been closed for traffic movement. The instructions were passed by the authorities following an advisory from the meteorological office.

An order issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate Gurez read, “In view of weather forecast issued by Meteorological Department and as precautionary measures, traffic civilian on Dawar -Bandipora and Dawar-Tulail road shall remain suspended on 14-12-2021till further order,”.

“SHO Police station Gurez, SHO Police station Badugam and 1/c Police post Izmarg are hereby directed to not allow any vehicle from Dawar to Bandipora and from Dawar to Tulail and vice versa, ” it reads.

Gurez area remains cut off from the rest of the Kashmir valley due to the accumulation of snow on the road—(KNO)
