Srinagar, Dec 23: Board of School Education has directed all institutions of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh affiliated with JKBOSE, CBSE or any other Board not to use text books of “Dareechae Urdu” for class 5th published by “Oscar Publications” Karan Nagar Srinagar and
and “Mehboob Urdu” for Class 3rd and 5th published by Franklin International, New Delhi.
An order issued by Director Academics states that if these textbooks are being used in any school, those must be withdrawn immediately, otherwise strict action as warranted under provisions of law shall be initiated.
While condemning the act of publication of certain material that has hurt the sentiments of the people, the concerned publishers are directed to withdraw these textbooks immediately from all the schools wherever these have been distributed. (KNT)
