According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Principal Secretary of the Department in a circular has said, “Requests have been received from various Deputy Commissioners that the services of the teaching staff attached or deployed in the election offices are required for the smooth functioning of election related activities.”

He said, “They have requested for their continuance with the present assignments, so that election related work may not suffer.”

“It is impressed upon all the HoDs and Chief Education Officers to follow the guidelines while deploying the teaching staff of School Education Department to other departments for doing essential duties,” he ordered.

Stating the guidelines, the Principal Secretary said, “No teaching staff shall be deployed for more than three month to the election office in the Deputy Commissioner’s office and it will be non-repetitive.”

He said that the other guidelines issued by the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction shall also be applicable in these cases;

“In case of deputation of teaching staff, proposals shall be submitted to the Administrative Department strictly in terms of Article 52 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Regulations, 1956, amended from time to time,” he said.

The Principal Secretary impressed upon all the teaching staff of School Education Department who have been deployed or deputed to other departments to join back in their original place of posting—(KNO)
