Anantnag: The 73rd Republic Day was celebrated at Larkipora with patriotic fervor. Block Development Officer unfurled the national tricolor at larkipora and took salute.
Addressing the gathering of the people on the 73rd Republic Day recalled the contribution of the architects of the Constitution and supreme sacrifices of the national heroes who laid down their lives for the freedom and well-being of the country he also highlighted the role of Mahatma Gandhi and Other Freedom Fighters who laid a vital role in Freedom of India. He also praised the services of the paramilitary forces and police in guarding the frontiers of the country in harsh weather conditions and for maintaining the internal security.
Later he distribute awards and momento among journalists and other Sectorial officers of various departments for their exemplary Services.
