Pulwama, Mar 12: Mohammad Yaseen Bhat, a differently-abled person in Pulwama is inspiring confidence among people as he is not alone sustaining himself but is providing employment to half a dozen people.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the 31-year-old handicapped man has set up a tailor shop and two poultry farms where he has employed six people.
“My disability did not allow me to attend school but I learnt stitching clothes amid heavy odds such as discouragement by people and set up my own unit,” Bhat said.
He credits his elder brother for supporting him in setting up his business venture
“For the last 13 years, I have been in this profession and till now I have trained around 100 boys and girls in stitching so far. And currently I am training four girls,” Bhat added.
His skills have earned him a name which is why he is in high demand and customers have to wait for months.
After achieving success, he embarked on another journey and established two poultry farms.
Bhat has a request for his fellows who end up sitting at home in the face of disability; “Stand up and believe in yourself. A sea of opportunities await you.”—(KNO)
