Pulwama, Apr 27: After a brief lull, fresh exchange of fire has started between government forces and militants in Mitrigam area of Pulwama on Wednesday.
An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that a joint team of police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Mitrigam Murran.
As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight, he said.
He said that during initial exchange of fire one solider received injuries who was shifted to hospital for treatment.
