Srinagar, Jun 04: In Jammu and Kashmir only 176 teachers are working in different private unaided recognized schools at secondary and senior secondary level, reveals official figures.
The official figures accessed by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) states that only 146 teachers working in private unaided recognized schools of Jammu and Kashmir for classes 9-12 were posted.
According to the updated figures revealed by Unified District Information System for Education (UDISE), “Only 30 teachers for classes 11-12 were posted at the senior secondary level.”
UDISE has also mentioned that there were a total of 69,689 teachers working in different private unaided recognized schools of Jammu and Kashmir out of which 11,225 teachers were teaching the students of primary level from classes 1-5.
Similarly, 20,919 teachers at private unaided recognized schools were teaching the students of Upper Primary Level.
Likewise, the consolidated data of UDISE states that 24,427 teachers were posted to teach the overall students from class 1-10 and 12,851 for classes 1-12—(KNO)
